The family that cooks together writes books together. The SUGAR-FREE MIRACLE™
Diet Cookbook is a collaborative work by sugar-free expert Karen Bentley, the fabulous
Bill Bentley (Karen's husband) and superwoman extraordinaire,
Kathleen Bentley Lane (Karen's stepdaughter).
Many of the recipes are derived from the personal collections of Bill and Kathleen who are both endowed with the
rare and coveted "cooking gene." They not only have natural cooking talent, Bill and Kathleen also have extensive
knowledge and highly refined skills in the kitchen arena, and have been pleasing family and friends with their
delicious, filling creations for years. Luckily for you, they're willing to adapt their favorite recipes to the
sugar-free lifestyle.
Thanks especially to Bill Bentley Jr., Dallas Gennaro and Donna and Jerry Ulbricht for always trying everything
with grace and good humor.
The cookbook series is organized into a series of 10 different collections, with 15 to 20 recipes in each
collection. Each collection of recipes is immediately downloable in PDF format. You can see the Table of
Contents for each collection of recipes on the BOOKSTORE page

Cooking is the ticket to eating well. It's also a fun, creative and relaxing way to express yourself. If you're new
to cooking, participating in our recipe contest can be your inspiration to give it a try. If you're not-so-new to
cooking, it can be your inspiration to turn your favorite dish into a sugar-free recipe that will be shared and
enjoyed by many others. I'm particularly interested in receiving new snack, dessert and grain recipes (muffins,
breads, pancakes) that are made with alternatives to white flour. I also give priority treatment to any recipes made
with stevia (an herbal sweetener).
Here's how the contest works. All you have to do is send us your recipe. The best way is to mail it to
. Or alternatively, you can
mail a paper copy to The Sugar-Free Miracle™ Diet LLC, P. O. Box 1209, Center Harbor NH 03226. Be sure to
include your name, email address (if you have one), mailing address and phone number. All recipes will be reviewed
and cooked by Karen and then tasted by Bill, Kathleen and any others who happen to be around. Selection is based on
originality, taste/flavor, ease and whether or not we already have something like it in our existing collection. All
recipes that are selected for publication become the permanent property of The Sugar-Free Miracle™ Diet LLC and
will not be returned.
If your recipe is selected for publication, the following three things will happen:
1. You will be e notified by email or regular mail about the selection within 30 days of submitting your recipe.
2. You will receive a $100 check and a personal thank you note from Karen Bentley.
3. You will see the recipe featured in one or more places: on our website, in a newsletter or in one of the cookbook
series.
Makes 8 delicious popsicles
This is a wonderful and healthy summertime snack in the afternoon!
Ingredients:
2 cups plain, sugar-free yogurt
2 cups frozen berries (mixed, raspberry or blackberry are best)
1/2 cup Splenda (or non-caloric sweetener of your choice)
2 teaspoons sugar-free vanilla
Directions:
Get your popsicle molds and popsicle sticks ready. Or, alernatively, you can use 4 oz paper cups as molds with large thick toothpicks.
Drain excess water out of yogurt by pouring it into a strainer over a bowl. Allow to drain for 30-60 minutes. This draining step is totally optional, but it does make for a much creamier popsicle.
Put frozen fruit in food processor and process for 1 or 2 minutes until the berries are a granular consistency. Stop the processor. Add splenda, flour and yogurt. Process again until smooth, another 1 or 2 minutes.
Pour yogurt-fruit mixture into popsicle molds and freeze. After about 30 minutes insert popsicle sticks into molds. Release popsicle from mold by running a little hot water over it. |
